June was a big month for multifamily. With the National Apartment Association’s Apartmentalize conference running from June 17 to 19, the month featured the largest multifamily event of the year.
And Apartments.com only added to the excitement with a series of giveaways totaling over $125,000 in cash. For multifamily professionals who attended the conference and for those who couldn’t make it, June was a celebration of the hardworking individuals keeping the multifamily industry thriving.
6 winners didn’t have to make it to New Orleans to score big
Not everyone in the multifamily industry attends Apartmentalize. For those who weren’t at the conference, Apartments.com made sure they wouldn’t miss out on the fun.
Clients and prospects who completed a meeting with an Apartments.com representative between May 4 and June 19 were entered to win up to $10,000 in cash.
And six lucky winners scored the prizes.
The grand prize winner, Torrie Mertig of Current on Center, received $10,000. Based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, she works for Cardinal Group Companies as a leasing and marketing manager.
Five additional winners took home the first-place prize, a cool grand in cash:

- Evelyn Rojas of CAM Properties in Phoenix, Arizona
- Christen Myers of Fox Rest Apartments (Thalhimer) in Dumbarton, Virginia

- Maria Ortega of The Park at Fife (Bonavista Property Management) in Tacoma, Washington
2 NAA attendees win the cash giveaways
For Jamey Crosson and Lena Ulloa, it was an Apartmentalize to remember.
Jamey took home $10,000 in cash, awarded by Heidi Gardner. The regional manager at Arlington Properties was visiting from Birmingham, Alabama and could hardly believe he had won.
And Lena Ulloa of Mission Lofts in Riverside, California, scored the grand prize of $100,000, personally announced by Jeff Goldblum himself. The community director was speechless when she reached the stage.
1 NAA attendee scores $250
Winning the cash giveaways wasn’t the only way to meet Jeff Goldblum (also known as Brad Bellflower) and Heidi Gardner (also known as Marcie of Homes.com). During the conference, attendees had the chance to take a selfie with the celebrities. And those who posted their photos on social media with the hashtags #IMetBrad and #IMetMarcie were entered to win a $250 prize.
